          PICAYUNE POLICE DEPARTMENTS P.R.O.U.D. PROGRAM

      "PICAYUNE RETIRED, ORGANIZED, UNITED AND DEDICATED"

The P.R.O.U.D Program was started in 2004 by Chief Jim Luke. The program consist of Retired Citizens who want to donate their time and efforts to hopefully make a difference. The volunteers want to give back to their community by aiding the Law Enforcement Officers with street patrol, directing traffic, helping man the reception desk, filing, handling complaints, as well as deterring criminal activates in our neighborhoods.

The P.R.O.U.D. Program has been recognized by the Mississippi Municipal League and the Clarion Ledger as being an important and valuable program.
